Chelsea signed the powerful central midfielder from Monaco in the summer of 2017 for around £40 million (Sky Sports).

However, the Frenchman never made any kind of positive impact at Stamford Bridge, and only made 24 Premier League appearances for the Blues.

Bakayoko has spent time on loan with AC Milan, Monaco, Napoli And AC Milan again over the past five years or so. But could his next stop be a return to London?

The powerful, energetic and dynamic midfielder faces a really uncertain future at Stamford Bridge. In fact, he will surely leave Chelsea this summer for a small fee or on a free transfer next year.

Could his next destination be the Hammers? The fact that he was at the London Stadium yesterday will certainly get people talking:

So Bakayoko was at the game to see his ‘brothers’ Kurt Zouma and Lucas Paqueta in action for the Hammers against Leeds.

I still find it strange that he would have been in attendance though, unless he is thinking about joining us. On paper, he has absolutely everything that David Moyes looks for in a player.

He stands at 6ft 2in tall and has power, pace, energy, dynamism and stamina in abundance. He’s strong in the challenge and moves the ball around with speed and accuracy.

However, his poor showings for Chelsea during his debut campaign in England will surely be a big red flag for Moyes, if he is indeed thinking about signing him.

After the Chelsea player was spotted at the London Stadium watching West Ham yesterday though, this is a rumour that will undoubtedly go into overdrive now, whether there is any substance to it or not.
