West Ham United have apparently been offered a proven player who’s enjoyed great success in the game.

The summer transfer window has been a sensational one for West Ham so far, with Julen Lopetegui having brought eight new players into the London Stadium already.

The West Ham fans are buzzing with excitement about what the future holds for us, and Lopetegui has insisted that he’s after even more new signings.

The West Ham manager has a seriously talented group of players at his disposal now, but the thought of him adding to that group with even more talent is incredibly exciting.

Carlos Soler seems to be the one we’re after, whilst Jhon Duran rumours are not going away, and Richard Rios is said to be on the radar as well.

However, a new name has been added to the list this afternoon…

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain offered to West Ham

So, the former Liverpool, Arsenal and Southampton man has seemingly been offered around to numerous Premier League clubs.

And West Ham are thought to be one of them.

West Ham were actually linked with a move to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in 2023, but that didn’t materialise in the end.

With Lopetegui still on the hunt for new signings, the Spaniard moving for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wouldn’t be the most surprising thing in the world would it.

According to insider Sean Whetstone, the Besiktas midfielder has been offered to the Hammers before deadline day.

But will West Ham take up Besiktas on their offer?

Whetstone said, Suggestions that West Ham will make a late move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are wide of the mark. The 31 year old former Liverpool and Arsenal midfielder is currently in Turkey with Beşiktaş but being offered around to a number of Premier League clubs including West Ham. West Ham have no squad slots, no money and fringe players who don’t want to leave.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a big no-go for West Ham

The 31-year-old was a hugely exciting talent when he burst through the ranks at Southampton, before joining Arsenal way back in 2011.

He then left the Gunners to move to Liverpool six years later, and went on to win the Premier League title and the Champions League with the Reds.

Despite that, he never fulfilled his potential, with either Arsenal or Liverpool, and struggled with perennial injury problems.

Since the 2017/18 season, the Ox has missed a staggering 124 games through various different injuries.

Now at 31, those injuries will undoubtedly become even more frequent, especially considering the fact that he’s a player who relies on his explosiveness.

As harsh as it might sound, the only way is down now for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and West Ham shouldn’t be going anywhere near him.

Thankfully it seems like we actually aren’t interested in him at all, judging by Whetstone’s claim anyway.
