A reporter very close to David Sullivan has claimed that 24-year-old West Ham United player could be set to leave this summer.
David Sullivan has to back West Ham manager David Moyes in the summer transfer window, if we are to make a genuine push for the top six next season.
However, there will be plenty of players leaving this summer as well, as the Hammers try to raise funds for an assault on the transfer market.
Konstantinos Mavropanos has already been linked with a summer exit from the London Stadium, and another defender could now be on his way as well.
Ben Johnson, 24, will be out of contract with West Ham in the summer, but he has been showing some really good form over the past six weeks or so. His performance against Manchester United last month drew plenty of praise, but will his recent form be enough to earn him a new deal?

Reporter close to David Sullivan claims 24-year-old will leave West Ham
According to a report from Claret and Hugh, Johnson is now ‘certain to leave’ the London Stadium in the summer.
That’s no surprise really – he has been awful for West Ham over the past 18 months or so. In spite of his fine recent form, Moyes is clearly still not convinced about the 24-year-old.
His better performances recently have actually come in an auxiliary midfield role, and there obviously isn’t a place for him there in the long-term.
If his new contract demands are too high, then the club will 100% be making the correct decision to move him on.
And if Moyes does lose Johnson, it will be a shame that he never developed enough to make it at the London Stadium. He had so much talent and potential when he burst onto the scene five years ago.
Unfortunately for Johno, he has regressed badly over the past couple of years, and he has failed to kick on.
With the reporter close to David Sullivan claiming that he’ll be off in the summer, he may well even have played his last game for West Ham.
