One of West Ham United’s most talented under-21 players is being heavily linked with a loan exit from the London Stadium this month.
The West Ham under-21 side has really impressed so far this season, with so many standout performers taking centre stage.
In my view, one of the most exciting young talents that we have amongst our ranks is 19-year-old Hammers attacker Gideon Kodua.
He really stood out for us last season with his incredible performance against Arsenal in the FA Youth Cup final at the Emirates. And he has continued his fine form this term it seems.
The versatile attacker, who can play anywhere along the front-line, has bagged six goals and two assists in 15 games for the under-21s so far this season (Transfermarkt).
And now he could be set for some senior football for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign…

West Ham under-21 star set for loan exit
According to a report from Football Insider, Kodua is currently in talks with Wycombe Wanderers about a loan move to Adams Park in January.
The talented teenager has so many strings to his bow. He can play as a centre-forward, on the left wing and as a number 10.
Kodua has all of the basic tools needed to succeed at the very highest level, but a move to League One will help him improve upon the physical side of his game.
Nothing can replicate regular action against senior players, and the Hammers youngster will learn so much from a loan spell away from the London Stadium.
The West Ham under-21 starlet is a uniquely exciting young attacker, and I firmly believe that he’ll become a star for us one day.
However, a temporary move down to the League One right now is the exact stepping stone that he needs to progress even further still.
