Jamal Baptiste was left out of the under-23s game yesterday and that could mean that he will be selected for West Ham United’s match-day squad for today’s Premier League clash with Liverpool.

The Hammers welcome the Reds to the London Stadium this evening for what is a top of the table clash.
David Moyes’s starting XI almost picks itself.

But with nine substitutes now available to the Scot, his bench could very well include one young star who is very highly rated at the London Stadium.
Jamal Baptiste to be included in West Ham squad today?
The 17-year-old is arguably the most highly prized young player that the Hammers have.
The centre-back is a world-class player in the making.
Moyes is clearly a big fan of Baptiste. The West Ham boss has included him on the substitutes bench for two Europa League games, four Premier League games and one Carabao Cup game tie already this season.

His omission from the under-23s yesterday was strange considering how big a game it was yesterday.
Dmitri Halajko’s men took on Liverpool with the chance to go top of the Premier League 2 table. We won the game 3-0 but with Arsenal drawing we remained in second spot.
Baptiste’s absence surely means that Moyes is ready to select him for today’s match-day squad.
It is highly unlikely that he will get on the pitch.
