Liverpool have been handed a truly huge injury boost ahead of their clash with West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.

West Ham travel to take on Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League this weekend, and it seems as though Jurgen Klopp has been handed a big boost ahead of the match.

However, the German has been handed a major injury boost ahead of this weekend’s game it seems.

It’s great news for Liverpool but very bad news for the Hammers…

Liverpool handed major injury boost ahead of West Ham clash

Hammers fans can be forgiven for dreading our trip to Anfield this weekend – it’s always so hard to get a result there.

And now it seems like our task has got even more difficult.

According to the Athletic, Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss their Europa League clash with LASK tonight but could be set to return to the team for the Premier League game against West Ham in three day’s time.

He hasn’t played since before the international break after pulling out of the England squad due to an injury.

He’ll seemingly be back and ready to face West Ham though.

Now, that really is great news for the Reds – Alexander-Arnold has been in exceptional form for them this season in his new inverted right-back role.

The 24-year-old has been flourishing since Klopp moved him into the new role where he spends most of his time in midfield.

Alexander-Arnold makes such a big difference to the way that this new-look Liverpool team play, especially going forward. He doesn’t seem to be the liability that he once was in the right-back position anymore either.

Trent returning to action this weekend will be a major injury boost for Liverpool and the West Ham fans will be cursing our luck if he does indeed start at Anfield.
