Hammers star pays the price as David Moyes makes two West Ham changes for Wolves in our predicted team ahead of the big clash.

After West Ham’s hugely disappointing 1-1 draw with Newcastle last Sunday, the truth is Moyes could – if he had the options – have changed half the team for Wolves.

The importance of West Ham’s game against Wolves cannot be understated.

Particularly after Tottenham’s 4-0 win at Leeds and fourth-placed Manchester United’s failure to beat Watford.

As Hammers News reported yesterday, West Ham are very much at a crossroads in their season going into the Wolves clash.

Wolves won the reverse fixture 1-0 back in November and West Ham have struggled for any kind of form or consistency ever since.

Now all eyes will be on the team Moyes puts out to try and breathe new life into West Ham’s campaign.

One of the flashpoints from the Newcastle game was Said Benrahma confronting David Moyes and saying “me every time” after being substituted.

The Scot was furious with Benrahma on the touchline letting him know in no uncertain terms who is boss.

The Benrahma issue is believed to have been sorted out behind the scenes at West Ham this week.

Predicted: Star pays the price as David Moyes makes two West Ham changes for Wolves

But Hammers News predicts the star will pay the price today as Moyes makes two West Ham changes for Wolves.

West Ham have confirmed Vladimir Coufal has had a successful hernia operation. That will rule the right-back out for around a month.

Ryan Fredericks is also believed to be injured. But regardless young Ben Johnson will come back into the side in at right-back in the first change.

The second change from Moyes will Benrahma pay the price for his row with the Scot as Manuel Lanzini comes back into the starting XI having missed the Newcastle game through injury.

Lanzini was seen training with his West Ham teammates ahead of the Wolves game in a video posted by the club on social media.

Wolves boast one of the best defensive records in the Premier League. And West Ham have been struggling to break teams down of late. So the Argentine could be key in helping the Hammers pass through the lines.

West Ham have been boosted ahead of the game by the absence of Wolves star Nelson Semedo. And Bruno Lage has said he will make a late call on another key star for the West Ham match.

Predicted West Ham starting XI to face Wolves:

Fabianski, Johnson, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell, Rice, Soucek, Lanzini, Fornals, Bowen, Antonio.
