Paul Merson says West Ham have been majorly affected by something this season and predicts the Forest result.
West Ham face Nottingham Forest this weekend in a huge relegation six-pointer.
The Hammers dropped into the bottom three with defeat to Spurs at the weekend. With Forest managing a 1-1 draw against Man City, it increased the gap between the relegation rivals to five points.
West Ham need to win at least five or six of their remaining 15 matches. So anything but a victory at home to Notts Forest is unthinkable.

Fans are are growing increasingly concerned by alarming parallels between West Ham’s 2011 relegation season under Avram Grant and the current campaign.
Pundit Merson said this week he does not think West Ham will be relegated if they keep David Moyes.
Now speaking to Sportskeeda, he has doubled down on that belief but admits Nottingham Forest at home is a must-win game for the Hammers.
Merson says West Ham have been majorly affected by something this season and predicts the Forest result.
“This is a must-win game for West Ham. I don’t expect West Ham to get relegated,” Merson told Sportskeeda while predicting 2-0 win for Moyes’ side.
“But it was a lacklustre performance last weekend against Tottenham. It was one of their biggest games of the season and some of their players didn’t treat it like that.
“The Hammers punched above their weight last season. It’s important in this league to start well. Look at Brighton, Brentford, and Fulham. West Ham haven’t started the season well and that has majorly affected their campaign.
“Nottingham Forest were dominated by Manchester City last weekend. I couldn’t believe the game ended 1-1. It could have so easily been 7-1 if City had put their chances away. I think West Ham are going to get an extremely important win this weekend.”
