A Lucas Paqueta social media post has dropped a big hint over whether the Brazil star will be in West Ham squad to face Spurs.

West Ham sealed one of the club’s most exciting transfers for years on Bank Holiday Monday, two days before the big game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Hammers fans are desperately hoping to get a glimpse of Paqueta against their bitter rivals Tottenham on Wednesday night following his arrival in a club record deal from Lyon.

West Ham welcome Tottenham to Stratford having been boosted by their first win – and goal – of the season against Aston Villa.

Facing Spurs will be a different kettle of fish for the Hammers, though. Antonio Conte’s side look like serious contenders for – at the very least – top four again.

Tottenham have started the season unbeaten with three wins and a draw from their opening four games.

West Ham will be hoping to record back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since January when Spurs come to what promises to be a white hot atmosphere at the London Stadium.

Moyes will be hoping to he can sprinkle some Brazilian stardust over proceedings.

A West Ham insider had explained the club faced a race against time in order to get record signing Paqueta a work permit and sufficient registration for the game against bitter rivals Spurs.

There had been talk Paqueta may not get the required paperwork and clearance in time to face Tottenham or even Chelsea this weekend.

But a Paqueta social media post seems to drop a big hint over whether the Brazil star will be in the West Ham squad to face Spurs.

Paqueta has posted a picture of him kicking the ball in his West Ham kit on Instagram in what is a digital mock-up showing him on the London Stadium pitch under a banner saying ‘Premier League, West Ham v Spurs, Come on you Irons’.

The picture preview shows the kick-off time and very much suggests Paqueta has got his clearance and will be in the squad for West Ham’s big clash against Spurs under the lights.

Speaking in his pre-Spurs presser, Moyes said the club were trying to get the clearance required.

After signing Paqueta, Moyes also said – as he so often does with new signings – that the Brazilian will “need time to adapt” which suggests even if the new boy is available, he will be on the bench.
