Fulham fans have sent a very emotional request to West Ham ahead of the London derby clash at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
It’s east meets west when West Ham head across London to face Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
The Cottagers have hit a real purple patch in front of goal of late ahead of the visit of West Ham.
Marco Silva’s side has scored 11 goals in their last three matches and put five past Notts Forest last time out.
The Hammers are going well themselves, though, unbeaten in six in all competitions – five of them wins.
Fulham fans send emotional request to West Ham
Victory for West Ham could see them draw level on points with Spurs in fifth spot – which will be rewarded with Champions League football this season.
High stakes as always in the Premier League.
But sometimes football is secondary in life. And despite all the tribal rivalry in the sport, it can also bring people together as one for the right causes.
And Fulham fans have sent an emotional request to West Ham ahead of the London derby clash.
The home supporters will be applauding on 45 minutes to mark the passing of a Fulham fan taken too soon.
Hammers fans asked to join applause
The tribute is in honour of popular Cottagers fan Matt Edwell.
And a plea has been sent to West Ham supporters to join in with the applause on 45 minutes.
“All fans attending Fulham v West Ham at Craven Cottage this Sunday 10th December at 2pm, please join in with the applause on 45 minutes as a mark of respect to a Fulham fan taken way too soon,” it was announced by popular Fulham account White Noise on X.
“Thank you.”
Fulham could not wish to have a better set of away fans for this particular gesture.
West Ham’s travelling army certainly won’t let them down.
