David Moyes has no fit central defenders at his disposal for the Southampton vs West Ham clash tomorrow afternoon.
That’s according to club insiders Claret and Hugh who claim that Moyes has huge problems on his hands ahead of the trip to the south coast.
Nayef Aguerd will obviously miss the match, and is not expected to return to action until later this month, at the very earliest.
Aside from the Moroccan’s ankle problem, West Ham have been fairly lucky with injuries so far this season.

Heading into this week, it seemed like Moyes had pretty much a full compliment of players to choose from.
That was a big blow for the Saints, but it seems as though there is an even bigger one on the horizon for the Hammers…

Aside from Aguerd, Claret and Hugh claim that Kurt Zouma is unlikely to be ready to face the Saints due to illness.
Meanwhile, Craig Dawson and Angelo Ogbonna are suffering with a dead leg and a hamstring problem respectively.
That leaves Thilo Kehrer. The German isn’t mentioned specifically by Claret and Hugh, but they claim that a ‘key insider’ has told them:
As things stand, we have no fit central defenders. Let’s hope they recover for Sunday.
That is a huge concern ahead of a game that we really should be winning.

Hopefully Craig Dawson manages to shake off his dead leg and Zouma is ready to play after illness.
Surely Kehrer will be fine. Moyes completely let him out of the squad for the Anderlecht clash as a precaution after all.
The Southampton vs West Ham clash is a must win for us.
It seems like fate may be conspiring against the Hammers though. Hopefully Moyes has at least two fit centre-backs available to play tomorrow.
If he doesn’t, Ben Johnson can play there and Declan Rice could slot into the backline, as much as we wouldn’t want him to do that.
We’re very much banking on Kehrer, Zouma and/or Dawson being fine!
