Ralph Hasenhuttl has shared a huge blow for his team with key man Moussa Djenepo set to miss the Southampton vs West Ham clash on Sunday.

The Hammers travel to St Mary’s to take on the Saints this weekend looking to make it three Premier League wins in a row.

Meanwhile, Southampton have experienced contrasting fortunes of late, having lost four consecutive Premier League games.

Hasenhuttl’s side haven’t kept a clean sheet in 15 consecutive Premier League games either!

West Ham really should be turning up to St Mary’s and winning comfortably.

And Hasenhuttl’s latest update will not give the Southampton fans much confidence…

The Austrian is under real pressure in his role as Saints boss.

He desperately needs a win against the Hammers this weekend, and given our fine recent form, he wont be relishing coming up against us.

Even more so with the fact that Djenepo will missing.

Hasenhuttl told Hampshire Live that the winger will miss Sunday’s clash with West Ham due to illness:

We have only Moussa [Djenepo] out with illness. He was not training all week.

That will be a big miss for Southampton.

Djenepo possesses electric pace and he enables Southampton to stretch the opposition, creating more space for the likes of James Ward-Prowse in the middle of the park.

West Ham should beat Southampton easily this weekend. Whether the players turn up though is another matter entirely.
