Edson Alvarez will be representing Mexico tonight (1am UK time) out in America for their friendly clash with Germany at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia.
West Ham midfielder Edson Alvarez played for his country just a few days ago during the Mexico vs Ghana frinedly game.

He got the better of his teammate Mohammed Kudus on the day.
The Hammers midfielder has already established himself as a key man for David Moyes, since moving to the club from Ajax for around £34 million in the summer transfer window (Daily Mail).
With that in mind, rumours circulating yesterday that Alvarez may miss Sunday’s clash with Aston Villa due to his expected late arrival back at Rush Green were deeply concerning.

Edson Alvarez Mexico concern shouldn’t be a problem
Last time the 25-year-old went away on international duty with Mexico, we faced Manchester City just 84 hours after the game vs Uzbekistan had finished in Atlanta, Georgia.
Alvarez went on to start the game at the London Stadium against the Premier League champions. He was taken off with 22 minutes remaining, but the point remains – he was fit enough to start.
And this time, he will have 109.5 hours between the final whistle at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia early tomorrow morning, and the kick-off at Villa Park on Sunday.
That extra day should mean that Alvarez has absolutely no issues being ready for the clash with Aston Villa this weekend.
Mexico international Edson Alvarez is a vital player for West Ham, and without him we are a much weaker side.
So getting him ready to play against the Villans on Sunday should be a real priority for David Moyes and his staff.
And as long as Edson Alvarez avoids injury during the Mexico vs Germany clash, I have no doubts in my mind that he will start for West Ham this weekend.
