‘Not normal’ were the words of David Moyes as he delivered a new update on the Lucas Paqueta injury ahead of West Ham United’s clash with Bournemouth.
As reported by Hammers News on Monday, Paqueta was a doubt for the Liverpool game with an injury to his collarbone and neck area during sustained in the draw against Southampton.
The Brazil ace played on after the initial injury in that game but went down off the ball late on in some pain and had to be substituted.

Moyes confirmed the collarbone injury and described it as “serious” ahead of the Liverpool defeat on Wednesday night.
That gave The Daily Mail all the rope they needed to run a sensational story that evening claiming West Ham’s record signing looked set to miss the World Cup.
But no sooner had they published that story than Paqueta himself spoke out saying he would only be out for two weeks.
Hammers insiders have since claimed Paqueta may even be available for West Ham when they face the Cherries on Monday night.
It was one of the first questions put to the manager in his pre-match press conference.
‘Not normal’ were the words of David Moyes as he delivered a new update on the Lucas Paqueta injury ahead of West Ham’s clash with Bournemouth.

But the update was a lot more positive from the Scot, who says the injury is not as bad as first feared.
“We don’t think Lucas Paqueta’s injury is as serious as first feared,” Moyes said in his presser (whufc.com).
“But the injury is not one that is normal for football players, so we need to treat it accordingly.”
