West Ham United boss David Moyes could be set for some big problems ahead with concerns arising over Kurt Zouma and his knee issues.
That’s according to injury expert Ben Dinnery who has told Give Me Sport that David Moyes sending Zouma out to play last weekend may end up coming back to bite him.
David Moyes brought the 27-year-old to the London Stadium from Chelsea in the summer of 2021 for around £25 million (The Athletic).

Whilst Zouma has undoubtedly been brilliant at times for West Ham, his general fitness and physical robustness just aren’t what they should be for a Premier League player.
There were concerns about Zouma’s knee injuries before he signed for West Ham. It was rumoured at the time that David Sullivan was concerned about spending such vast amounts of money on the centre-back.
And now those issues seem to have come back to roost…
West Ham boss David Moyes made terrible Zouma call
Before out clash with Leicester at the London Stadium on Saturday, the 28-year-old pulled up during the warm-up before the game even kicked off with an unspecified problem.
Zouma then went off injured after just 15 minutes against the Foxes.
And now injury expert Ben Dinnery has told Give Me Sport how the decision by Moyes to start Zouma was a highly questionable one:

It’s that risk and reward scenario. The decision was taken to let him go and play. We know, historically, he’s had that problematic knee issues, so it looks as if it’s reared its ugly head.
In my opinion, sending Zouma out to play was a catastrophic error from Moyes, in spite of what the physios may have told him.
The Scot could have started Nayef Aguerd or moved Thilo Kehrer into central defence and started Ben Johnson or Vladimir Coufal at right-back.
Starting Kurt Zouma clearly wasn’t the only option available to West Ham boss David Moyes.
Let’s hope that the Frenchman isn’t out injured for too long. But whatever happens, Moyes must learn from the mistake that he made on Saturday.
