West Ham United have already enjoyed a truly incredibly transfer window so far this summer.
Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten have been instrumental in the West Ham squad overhaul that has seen eight new players arrive at the London Stadium and six leave.
Kudos to David Sullivan as well for actually providing the funds for Lopetegui and Steidten to bring in some sensational new signings.
The Hammers head coach wants even more new arrivals though, and is demanding two top-class players in every single position.
However, the Spaniard must shift some of the deadwood first this summer, before he can make that happen.
It will undoubtedly be a very busy final five days of the summer transfer window, with Lopetegui after a couple more new signings, and at least four players being linked with the exit door.
Danny Ings, Kurt Zouma, Maxwel Cornet and Nayef Aguerd all seem to be up for the chop, and if Lopetegui manages to sell at least three of those players, he’ll be able to bring in two more I reckon.
I think the two signings we require most is a technically gifted midfielder who can share the load with Lucas Paqueta, and a proper striker to compete with and provide cover for Niclas Fullkrug.
Michail Antonio quite simply shouldn’t be playing at this level anymore, it really is that simple.
And it seems like Lopetegui may well be slowly coming around to that idea as well.

The Hammers fans have to admit – this summer has been pretty special hasn’t it.
A few years back, who would have thought we would be attracting the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jean-Clair Todibo, Guido Rodiguez and Niclas Fullkrug to the London Stadium in the future?
There haven’t been too many summers I can remember where we’ve made such huge strides as a club.
And now it seems like things could get even more exciting for the West Ham fans…
Roma striker Tammy Abraham is believed to be firmly on Lopetegui’s radar.
The 26-year-old looks all set to leave the Italian capital before transfer deadline day, and a return to London could well be on the cards for him.
The Hammers will apparently have to pay around £19.5 million to sign Tammy Abraham this summer.
That really is fantastic value in this day and age, and West Ham could be on the verge of being unplayable going forward.

The former Chelsea man is an absolute handful for opposing defenders when he’s fully fit.
The 26-year-old would be a big upgrade on Michail Antonio, there’s absolutely no doubting that, what with his finishing ability and aerial strength.
His record is incredibly impressive, with 130 goals in in 339 career appearances for club and country to his name.
Standing at 6ft 5in tall, Abraham is a real handful in the air, and would undoubtedly be a big problem for opposing Premier League defenders – he proved that during his time with Chelsea.
He would be able to link up perfectly with Niclas Fullkrug, with the German having admitted that he likes to drop deep into the number 10 role.
Or he could be used in rotation with the 31-year-old, and lead the line on his own.
However, the fact that he has missed 301 days of football since suffering an ACL injury when playing for Roma in 2023 is a big concern.
Tammy Abraham has suffered persistent ankle problems throughout his career as well, so that would obviously be a worry for West Ham if we did sign him this summer.
If the Hammers do decide to take a risk on signing him, and he maintains his fitness, we could have a devastating attack.
Abraham playing in between Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen and just in front of Lucas Paqueta is a hugely exciting prospect.
That’s not even including the likes of Crysencio Summerville and the aforementioned Fullkrug!
The options that Lopetegui has at his disposal are already incredible, but they could be set to get even better.
