There are three players we won’t ever see in a West Ham United shirt again after the Brentford defeat in my opinion.

West Ham lost 2-0 to Brentford on Sunday afternoon after David Moyes made nine changes from the Europa Conference League win over AZ Alkmaar.

What was clear to see is that the Hammers have a strong squad purely only in name and numbers. Many of the stand-ins that came into the side are nowhere near up to the job.

Three of those players were Pablo Fornals, Manuel Lanzini and Ben Johnson.

And I really feel like we might not ever see any of them in a West Ham shirt again…

Fornals, Lanzini and Johnson all started the game for the Hammers against the Bees.

The Spaniard and the Englishman were both absolutely woeful, whilst the Argentinian didn’t really do anything fo note either.

In fairness to them, Moyes has given none of them any substantial minutes this season, so it’s almost impossible for them to come into the side and make an immediate impact.

However, they are all professional footballers at the end of the day, and should have at least shown a bit of passion, fight and hunger.

I just can’t see any of them featuring anymore for the Hammers under Moyes.

Lanzini has been heavily linked with a return to his homeland to join his boyhood club River Plate (TyC Sports). Meanwhile, Johnson is an apparent transfer target for Everton this summer.

And Fornals just isn’t playing enough for someone who should be in the prime of his career. Unless something drastic changes over the next few weeks, I can see the 27-year-old demanding a transfer away from the London Stadium in the summer window.

Moyes’s rotation has been highly questionable this season. He has flogged the same 13 or 14 players all season long and as a result, the players who came into the side on Sunday were seriously undercooked. As mentioned earlier though, they all should have shown a lot more fight than they did at the very least.

Lanzini, Fornals and Johnson are three players we won’t see in a West Ham shirt ever again in my opinion.
