West Ham United lost 3-1 to Wolves in a pre-season friendly out in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday night.
It was a tough night all round for everyone involved with West Ham, as Wolves swept us aside with a highly energetic and fairly impressive display.
The only real positive is that Julen Lopetegui must have a clear idea about where he needs to strengthen his squad now – he admitted as much after the match.
It was a poor performance from the Hammers, but at least the boys got some much-needed minutes into their legs.
That’s not to say that every single player who featured out in Jacksonville will still be at the London Stadium when the summer transfer window closes next month.
There were a few players who should never wear the West Ham shirt again as far as I’m concerned.
That might sound a little harsh, but allow me to elaborate.

I have to clarify that that opinion isn’t based purely on their displays against Wolves, but rather consistently poor performances over the past 6-12 months.
Besides, there is no room for sentiment in elite level sport.
And one player in particular was absolutely atrocious against the Black Country outfit…
Video from Wolves loss proves West Ham player is finished
Lopetegui must have been extremely frustrated when watching the game from the sidelines on Saturday.
And not just because of some of the poor performances.
There were players out there who gave well below 100%, and that’s not acceptable. Meanwhile, there were others who looked incredibly unfit.
Unfortunately, Kurt Zouma fit into both of those categories against Wolves.
The Frenchman is physically shot to pieces, and his decline over the past year has been really sad to witness.
It was recently claimed that the 29-year-old could be sold this summer, and if he is it would surprise absolutely no one.
A video that has just emerged proves that Lopetegui and co should be expediting Zouma’s exit from the club.
Wolves’ official X account posted the below video after their 3-1 victory over the Hammers in America.
Just keep your eyes fixed on Zouma…
The lack of pace and general ability to move is extremely worrying, but his lack of effort to get back into position is even more concerning.
What an utter disgrace.
I never thought I’d say this, but I think Lopetegui should be looking to move Zouma on rather than Nayef Aguerd this summer.
The Frenchman’s performance against Wolves was nowhere near good enough, and West Ham will be in big trouble if he starts for us in the Premier League this season.
