A detailed Ange Postecoglou dossier shows Spurs have got one over on West Ham after a prediction from Karren Brady.
Tottenham Hotspur will officially unveil Ange Postecoglou as their new manager and it could leave the West Ham hierarchy filled with regret.
With uncertainty surrounding David Moyes’ future at West Ham and Tottenham managerless, both clubs had been linked with the Celtic boss.
Hammers News reported recently that Spurs chief Daniel Levy was set to take on former friend and West Ham vice-chair Karren Brady as he switched his attentions to Postecoglou after a series of snubs from other managers.
Back in March we said Postecoglou was the ideal modern, progressive manager to take over from Moyes this summer.

Then last month Hammers vice-chair Brady made it clear Postecoglou would get her vote as the next West Ham boss as she raved about him in her newspaper column.
The speed at which the Australian has turned Celtic into one of the most attractive footballing sides around is matched only by Roberto De Zerbi at Brighton.

West Ham and Tottenham fans have been craving a more modern, attack-minded manager with fresh ideas about how the game should be played.
And an in-depth online dossier posted on social media by performance analyst EBL will excite Spurs and worry the Hammers in equal measure.
The analysis of precisely what Postecoglou has done to transform Celtic reads like a wish-list of everything West Ham and Tottenham supporters have been crying out for.

‘His team play a style which resembles the best teams and coaches in world football such as Pep’s City, Arteta’s Arsenal and De Zerbi’s Brighton’
And speaking in that column, Brady backed Postecoglou to be a huge hit in England. Little did she know then that he would end up at bitter rivals Spurs.
“Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic play a style which resembles the best teams and coaches in world football such as Pep’s City, Arteta’s Arsenal and De Zerbi’s Brighton,” EBL posted in a “mega thread” on Twitter, which you can see in full below.
“His Celtic team invert the fullbacks, attack with flawless positional play and counterpress relentlessly.
“Celtic are very much so a possession based team who look to play out from the back. They start off in a 4-3-3 shape and rarely come up against teams who play with a top quality high press against them due to the disparity in quality between Celtic, Rangers and the rest of the SPFL…
“Ange’s on-ball structure is nothing short of flawless, the counterpress is elite, and although the settled press may be flawed on occasion, that’s likely down to the fact that little emphasis is put on it for domestic games, with superior pressing displays evident in Europe.”
The thread, which has had over one million views, goes into minute detail on how Celtic play under the Australian and it is a fascinating and illuminating read.
It also highlights Postecoglou’s remarkable work improving players and his brilliant record in the transfer market at Celtic.
Of course the Premier League is a big step up. But West Ham chief Brady has predicted he will excel. And that will fill the Hammers with regret as realistic alternatives to Moyes dwindle ahead of the summer.

Brady prediction could come back to haunt her with bitter rivals Spurs
“Let’s raise a glass to Celtic boss Postecoglou, don’t be surprised to see him make an impact in England…” Brady said in The Sun.
“Whether being emperor of a small kingdom is more satisfying than being president of a big one, the fact is that Celtic are minor players in modern football…
“Sky recently signed to pay Scottish football £150million-a-year from 2025, while the company’s current contract with the EFL is £119m-a-season, but is likely to be increased because there is a probable new rival.
“Chicken feed compared with the Premier League champions, who will earn £176m from TV money this season alone…
“Postecoglou’s feats around the world suggest he would make an impact this side of Hadrian’s Wall and, no, this is not a new defensive strategy.”
Perhaps Tottenham knew West Ham were going to try for Postecoglou but couldn’t until after their European final. And so Levy took advantage of the situation.
West Ham’s board and fans will be watching on with particular interest as to how Tottenham’s latest manager fares.
