A gushing dossier on Ange Postecoglu should have West Ham banging Celtic’s door down for their manager this summer.
West Ham will head Down Under this summer on a pre-season tour and ironically it is Celtic’s Australian boss Ange Postecoglu who could be the man to take the Hammers to the next level.
David Moyes is under huge pressure at West Ham with the club facing the very real threat of relegation from the Premier League.
Meanwhile his old club Celtic have been transformed under Postecoglu and are cruising to another Scottish title.
West Ham’s owners have, thus far, stood firm behind Moyes despite their dismal domestic form.
While more than half the teams in the Premier League have changed managers, Moyes has somehow survived at West Ham despite just 15 wins in their last 53 top flight matches.

A large section of supporters are fed up with the negative style and risk averse approach of Moyes. And many want to see a change of manager in the summer regardless of whether the Scot keeps West Ham up.
A plethora of names have been linked as potential replacements for Moyes at the London Stadium.
But a gushing dossier on Postecoglu should have West Ham banging Celtic’s door down this summer.
West Ham fans are craving a more modern manager with fresh ideas about how the game should be played.
And a thread posted on social media by performance analyst EBL should give the Hammers board plenty of food for thought.
The in-depth analysis of what Postecoglu has done to transform Celtic reads like a wish-list of everything West Ham supporters are crying out for.

“Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic play a style which resembles the best teams and coaches in world football such as Pep’s City, Arteta’s Arsenal and De Zerbi’s Brighton,” EBL posted in a “mega thread” on Twitter, which you can see in full below.
“His Celtic team invert the fullbacks, attack with flawless positional play and counterpress relentlessly.
“Celtic are very much so a possession based team who look to play out from the back. They start off in a 4-3-3 shape and rarely come up against teams who play with a top quality high press against them due to the disparity in quality between Celtic, Rangers and the rest of the SPFL…
“Ange’s on-ball structure is nothing short of flawless, the counterpress is elite, and although the settled press may be flawed on occasion, that’s likely down to the fact that little emphasis is put on it for domestic games, with superior pressing displays evident in Europe.”
The thread goes into minute detail on how Celtic play under the Australian and it is a fascinating and illuminating read.
It also highlights Postecoglu’s remarkable work improving players and his brilliant record in the transfer market since arriving at Celtic.
Yes Celtic are a massive club so West Ham may be hard pressed to convince him to leave.

But as we have seen down the years, the Premier League is a major draw for players and managers. Brendan Rodgers leaving Celtic for Leicester being a case in point.
Let’s also not forget West Ham have the London ace card, play in the second biggest stadium in the UK and in front of the fifth highest average attendance in Europe.
Postecoglu would have the finances to really implement his vision in east London too.
And just imagine what he could do with the likes of Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca as well as some of the club’s rising academy stars.
West Ham need a complete change this summer. And Postecoglu could be just the man to lead it.
