West Ham United manager David Moyes has to sell two of his most expensive signings, in order to kickstart a much needed summer rebuild at the London Stadium.
David Moyes is actually under real pressure in his role as West Ham boss right now, with the owners said to be very unhappy with recent performances.
There is a genuine argument to be made that the 60-year-old should be relieved of his duties right now, after a woeful run of form that has seen the Hammers go eight games without a win.
However, the noise coming out of the London Stadium is that the owners are desperate for the Scot to turn things around, and he’ll most likely be given until the end of the season at least to show that he’s capable of getting things back on track.
Whoever is in charge at West Ham in the summer will have a huge rebuild on their hands. I reckon it’s no exaggeration to say that the Hammers need eight new players in order to be competitive on all fronts.
We need a new striker, two left wingers, a dynamic and energetic central midfielder, a left-back, a right-back and two new centre-backs.
In order to help facilitate the arrival of eight new players, West Ham will have to sell two of our big money signings in my opinion, and they’ve both been in dreadful form for us this season…

Nayef Aguerd and Kurt Zouma have been utterly awful for us this season, and Moyes has to stop giving them both so much faith and trust.
Zouma, 29, joined the Hammers from Chelsea in the summer of 2021 for around £30 million (The Daily Mail).
He initially looked like a fantastic signing for us, but has regressed badly over the past six months or so, with his fitness and persistent knee problems a huge concern.
The Frenchman can barely move around the pitch now, and his leadership skills are questionable as well – there is absolutely no way Moyes should have made him captain at the start of the season.
Zouma will be out of contract at the London Stadium in the summer of 2025, and I think Moyes should be going all out to sell him as soon as this season ends. Whether there will be any clubs willing to take a punt on him with his injury record remains to be seen though.
Then we have the hapless Nayef Aguerd. I think there is a real argument to be made that he’s one of the very worst signings of the Moyes era at West Ham.
Moyes brought the Morocco international to the London Stadium from Rennes in the summer of 2022 for around £30 million (BBC).
When the 27-year-old returned from an ankle injury that he suffered during pre-season of that summer, he initially really impressed with his lightning quick speed and ability when in possession of the football.
However, it has soon become clear that Aguerd is in no way good enough to be playing Premier League football.
He is weak in the challenge, easy to turn and spin and gets beaten by simple balls over the top time and time again.
The Morocco international’s concentration levels and his positional awareness are truly laughable at times. He’s supposed to be a professional footballer but looks like someone who has won a competition to play for the Hammers.
David Moyes simply has to move West Ham duo Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd on from the London Stadium, in order to embark on a summer rebuild. Neither of them are good enough to play at the very highest level in my opinion.
Hopefully there is some interest in signing both players from the Saudi League in the summer, so we can generate maximum funds.
