Angelo Ogbonna has just proven that David Moyes’s deluded comments have affected the West Ham United players.
The Hammers are in real trouble at the moment, and are currently sitting inside the bottom three having taken just 15 points from our opening 19 Premier League games.

Yesterday’s defeat to Wolves was the straw that broke the camel’s back for even Moyes’s most ardent supporters.
It’s time to go. We all know that he is done as manager of West Ham, and the sooner he leaves the London Stadium the better.
However, the board are sticking with him for now, in spite of all the obvious warnings that his dire, archaic approach to the game will undoubtedly get us relegated.
And one West Ham star has just proven that Moyes’s deluded attitude has now seeped into the players’ mindsets…
Moyes’s deluded comments have rubbed off on the players
The Scot has continually spoken this season how his West Ham team haven’t been that bad, and are not too far off being at their best.
Moyes has also highlighted how unlucky his side have been. What an absolute load of old rubbish.
But you know what, when you continually say the same thing, people might just start to believe you, in spite of how ludicrous it actually is…
Angelo Ogbonna spoke to WHUFC.com and bemoaned his side’s recent bad luck:
Sometimes you need a little bit of luck. It seemed as though the ball didn’t want to go in – they played well but it was a tight game and we showed the fight.
We were a little bit unlucky, we had the header from Gianluca, and there were shots from Mick, Vlad had one in the first half. It’s hard to take and everyone is disappointed. We need to take it game-by-game. It’s the only way, to focus on the next game wherever it is. All the players want the best for this Club. At this moment we don’t have a lot of luck – we have shown we can improve in the last three games and we stepped on the pitch today to get something more. It didn’t go that way, but maybe the next one will. It’s very important. From now on every game is important, for us, for all the players. It’s important to understand the situation – it’s a hard situation, but we’ve passed through hard times before at West Ham.

It’s clear to see from Ogbonna’s remarks that Moyes’s deluded comments have slowly seeped into the West Ham players.
The more that the players think that they’ve been hard done by rather than nowhere near the levels they need to be, the more trouble we will be in. That has to change, and fast.
Whether Moyes is given the opportunity to turn things around beyond the Everton game next weekend remains to be seen though.
