West Ham linked manager Rafa Benitez has turned down a job offer and it looks very ominous indeed for David Moyes.
Hammers boss Moyes was already under intense pressure before the club slipped into the relegation zone after defeat to Wolves at the weekend.
The Hammers have lost 20 of their last 37 Premier League games. There have been just 13 wins in the last 46 league games.
And the Wolves defeat means West Ham go into another six-pointer against Everton with no win in seven Premier League games.

And the Wolves defeat means West Ham go into another six-pointer against Everton with no win in seven Premier League games. Moyes is set to remain in charge for the clash with his old club but talk in West Ham circles suggests it is very much last chance saloon.
West Ham have been linked with a plethora of replacements this week including former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez (The Mirror).
Speculation surrounding the Spaniard has intensified in the last 24 hours.
Now West Ham linked Benitez has turned down a job offer and it looks ominous for Moyes.
According to Football Italia, Benitez has rejected the manager’s job at Serie A side Salernitana.
Benitez has previously managed in Italy with Inter Milan and Napoli. But he won’t be completing an Italian hat-trick according to the website.

And that can only be ominous for Moyes with the Scot on the brink at West Ham.
Why would Benitez, who has not worked since being sacked by Everton almost a year ago to the day, turn down the chance to manage a Serie A club after so long out of a job?
Given all the speculation it is only natural to assume he has been either approached or made aware the West Ham job could be a possibility.
It is looking increasingly likely that Moyes will be gone unless West Ham pull off a first win in eight games at home to the Toffees on Saturday.
Should that be the case Benitez may well be waiting by the phone having rejected Salernitana’s advances.
