Emerson Palmieri has been speaking about life at West Ham United after Declan Rice left to join Arsenal in the summer.
West Ham left-back Emerson Palmieri believes that we are a completely different team now without Declan Rice…and in a good way.

Rice joined Arsenal in the summer transfer window for £105 million and Hammers boss David Moyes made four top-class signings with that money.

The Scot brought Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Mohammed Kudus to the London Stadium.
As a unit, West Ham are clearly a better all-round team. The players are no longer reliant on Dec and our play in transition is much quicker and more efficient without the England international in the middle of the park…
West Ham left-back Emerson Palmieri drops the ultimate Declan Rice insult
The Italy international has been speaking about all things West Ham.
Emerson spoke about the current team and highlighted how much better we are now than we were last season, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“We’ve started this season better than last season. Last season, we didn’t start as well in the Premier League but we know our quality. We’ve shown our quality and, this season, we’ve started well. We’ve got four new players too and you can see the quality they bring to the squad. Because of them, I think we are stronger now than we were last season. We’ve played six or seven games in the Premier League now and you can see the quality we’re showing in the way we play.”
Emerson is absolutely spot on here. We are undoubtedly a better side now as far as I’m concerned.
With Rice at the club, it seemed like we were overly reliant on him, and the first thing that every other player did when they got the ball was look up to see where he was.
As a result, our play was incredibly slow, and we struggled on the counter-attack. I just feel like we’re far more dangerous now in transition.
Declan Rice is a world-class player – there’s no doubting that – but Emerson Palmieri has highlighted how our team works better as a unit now without him.
And that will be the ultimate insult for Dec, if he ever reads the Italian’s remarks.
