West Ham handed major Thilo Kehrer boost ahead of Southampton after worrying insider claim

West Ham have been handed a major Thilo Kehrer boost ahead of the Southampton clash, after a hugely worrying insider claim.

David Moyes told reporters on Thursday night that the 26-year-old was left out of the squad against Anderlecht as a precaution (Football.London).

Craig Dawson and Angelo Ogbonna both left the field with injury complaints on Thursday night whilst Kurt Zouma is struggling with an illness.

Things aren’t looking great for Southampton are they! Certainly not from a defensive aspect.

There does seem to be some good news for the Hammers fans to digest this morning though…

It appears as though the Germany international will be fit and ready to play against the Saints this afternoon.

Having the former PSG man available for today’s game is an absolutely massive boost for West Ham.

The 26-year-old’s pace, tenacity and commitment has been hugely impressive to watch since he moved to the London Stadium from Paris in the summer.

With Nayef Aguerd and Ogbonna definitely out and Zouma and Dawson doubtful, David Moyes needs Kehrer more than ever.

West Ham should be going to Southampton and winning comfortably. The Saints really have been very poor recently.

Hopefully we’ll be able to do that as long as we have at least two fit centre-backs.
