West Ham beat Chelsea 3-2 at the London Stadium yesterday and something that Tomas Soucek did after the game really caught the eye.

The Hammers were immense in the second-half against Chelsea.

To come from behind TWICE to beat the Premier League leaders really was very impressive.

Tomas Soucek didn’t score, nor did he register an assist. He was absolutely everywhere yesterday though and did not stop running for his team.

You know what you’re going to get with the 26-year-old. He will never stop trying and giving his all for the team.

Soucek has covered more ground than any other Premier League player this season (FBREF).

Some Hammers fans have questioned whether the Czech Republic ace needs a rest over the past few weeks, however. In all fairness he has looked jaded at times.

That clearly isn’t the case though.

West Ham fans will love what Tomas Soucek did after 3-2 win over Chelsea

The box-to-box midfielder is a huge asset for West Ham at both ends of the pitch.

The energy and dynamism that he brought to the Hammers’ midfield from January 2020 onwards really has taken us to another level.

Soucek’s engine really is incredible. And something he did after yesterday’s win over Chelsea at the London Stadium proves that he’s got plenty more in the tank:

Wow, just wow.

To have that kind of energy and enthusiasm after running non-stop for 90 minutes against a team who keep the ball for large parts of the game is truly admirable.

It’s ok to criticise Soucek for his performances but we can never question his attitude, commitment and physical capabilities.

We are very lucky to have Soucek at the London Stadium. Now all we need is for the big Czech ace to rediscover his goalscoring form for West Ham.
