David Gold lifted the lid on what went on in the West Ham boardroom after our dramatic win over Liverpool on Sunday evening, when speaking to talkSPORT.
David Moyes guided the Hammers to a magnificent 3-2 win over Liverpool at the London Stadium.
West Ham are now flying high in third spot in the Premier League table.
Champions League football seems like a genuine reality for the Hammers next season.
What a turnaround Moyes has overseen in East London.
Whatever you think of the board, in the interest of balance, you have to give credit to them for appointing the Scot for the second time in December 2019.
David Gold makes West Ham boardroom admission
The Hammers co-owner was delighted with the 3-2 win on Sunday against Jurgen Klopp’s Reds side.
Gold spoke to talkSPORT and shared what went down in the West Ham boardroom after the win over Liverpool:
“He [Moyes] is very easy to work with, proper person and certainly one of the best managers I’ve worked with in my 27 years in football. I’m so pleased for him as he’s worked so hard. He’s had his down days, but seeing him come into the boardroom after the victory yesterday was fantastic. He got a guard of honour as he walked into the boardroom. It was fantastic.”
That really is great to hear.
Moyes has managed to completely transform West Ham both on and off the pitch in just under two years.
We’ve gone from relegation fodder to genuine top four challengers.
It really is quite incredible.
And it seems as though Moyes is appreciated just as much by the club’s owners as he is the fans.
