Tony Cascarino has been absolutely raving about West Ham United attacker Jarrod Bowen.

Jarrod Bowen has begun the 2023/24 season in fine form for West Ham, with three goals to his name in just four Premier League games so far.

The Hammers forward looks fitter, stronger and more clinical than he ever has done before.

And he is drawing huge praise already from fans and pundits alike…

Tony Cascarino says West Ham really missed Jarrod Bowen last season

The talkSPORT pundit offered high words of praise for the Hammers star, when speaking over the weekend.

Cascarino labelled Bowen as one of the Premier League’s most underrated attacking players, and highlighted how much better he has been at the start of this season than he was last year:

“Three Premier League away games, three goals. And, they missed him last year, he didn’t start last season particularly well. I love his durability and his hunger. He’s strong, not the tallest but he’s got a bit about him. He’s playing top football at the moment. I think he’s one of the most underrated wide-men in the country.”

We need a huge season from Bowen this term. I’m talking 30 goal contributions at the very least.

He definitely seems to have the bit between his teeth this season and has started like he has something to prove.

The 26-year-old was left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the September internationals – somewhat unfairly so in my opinion.

However, if he keeps playing like he has done for West Ham during the first four Premier League games of the season, he will undoubtedly get that call from Southgate next time around.
