Thilo Kehrer has looked like a fish out of water over the past month or so, and West Ham might just have been had over by Paris Saint-Germain.

David Moyes paid roughly £13 million to bring Kehrer to the London Stadium from PSG in the summer, and that seemed like fantastic business at the time.

The 26-year-old seemed to be one of the signings of the summer after his early season appearances for the Hammers.

We’re starting to see why the French giants were so keen to get rid of the 22-capped Germany international though.

Kehrer has been an absolute liability over the past month or so, and has made numerous high-profile errors.

He is clearly very prone to a mistake and often dives in completely unnecessarily.

The 26-year-old made a glaring error by not even jumping for the ball and getting beaten in the air by Marcus Rashford, during our defeat to Manchester United two weeks ago.

And he made another rickett against Crystal Palace last weekend. Kehrer badly miscontrolled the ball and allowed Michael Olise to bear down on our goal. The Palace man slipped it to Wilfried Zaha who smashed home to equalise.

Palace then went on to win the game.

The German then put in a really poor performance once again yesterday…

Thilo Kehrer looks like a complete flop for West Ham

The former PSG man was at fault for Leicester’s first goal yesterday. He had acres of space behind him because of poor positioning, and that allowed Harvey Barnes to run in on goal before putting the ball into the box and teeing up James Maddison to break the deadlock.

David Moyes really needs to address Kehrer’s current issue of poor decision making and complete lapses in concentration.

I’m not saying the 26-year-old is a bad player, he quite obviously isn’t. But he has to work on the defensive side of his game, if he is to be a success at the London Stadium.

Who knows? Maybe he is better at centre-back. Thilo Kehrer does play at right-back for Germany though, so his poor form for West Ham recently is a complete mystery.

Maybe the Hammers have been completely had over by PSG? They were very keen to get rid of him after all, and their fans were delighted when he left…
