The 34-year-old Hammers captain has barely played this season.
David Moyes called upon Noble for last night’s Carabao Cup clash with Manchester City though.

And he didn’t disappoint.
The Canning Town born midfielder hasn’t got any pace anymore and he is nowhere near as energetic and dynamic as he once was.
Two things Noble does have in abundance is experience and positional awareness, however.
Stuart Pearce reacts to Mark Noble display for West Ham against Manchester City
The 34-year-old put in a really strong display at the London Stadium last night.
Pearce spoke to reporters last night and responded when asked what he thought of Noble’s performance, as quoted by Football.London:

“He has been a wonderful captain for this club for over a decade. He’s been incredible. He’s a great role model for young players and I know as a coach because I worked with him at Under 21 level so we’ve got a connection going back to when he was in his late teens and early 20s And he is one that he inspires from within, from within the dressing room. And credit to him, he has not had a load of game time this year but when he was asked to come in and lead the team tonight, he has been incredible, he’s a great role model for young players.”
When Noble finally hangs up his boots at the end of this season it will be a sad day for the him and the West Ham fans.
He is such an influential figure at the London Stadium and he will surely go on to fulfil some kind of coaching or advisory role at the club after he retires from playing.
