The Hammers and Spurs strikers could not have experienced more different careers to date.

Tottenham hitman Kane has been banging the goals in on a consistent basis in the Premier League since 2014.

West Ham man Antonio, meanwhile, has only been scoring regularly since football resumed after the first lockdown in June 2020. In fact, he has only been playing as a striker for the past 18 months!

Kane has scored 228 goals in 347 games for Tottenham whilst Antonio has bagged only 54 goals in 190 games.

There is no question who has been the better player this season, however.

Micky has five goals in seven Premier League games to his name whilst Kane has just one in the same amount of matches as the Hammers man.

Paul Merson shares who’s better, Michail Antonio or Harry Kane

The two strikers will come face to face with each other on Sunday afternoon at the London Stadium. And whichever player has the most influence on the game will most likely end up on the winning team.

Merson spoke to sportskeeda and shared who he thinks is the best striker out of the West Ham and Tottenham stars:

“I like both Michail Antonio and Harry Kane, but if I had to pick one, I’d go for the latter. He’s scored just once in the Premier League this season, but he’s produced the goods consistently in the past 6-7 years and is one of the best centre-forwards in world football right now.”

Merson makes a fair point. Kane has proven himself at the very highest level for the past seven years.

There aren’t many better goal scorers in world football than the 28-year-old Spurs man.

Having said that, there is nobody better at leading the line for West Ham than Michail Antonio at the moment.

Both players have the opportunity to make a big statement for they teams on Sunday.
