West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen has clearly made a concerted effort to change one big thing about his game this season.

Jarrod Bowen has been in fine form for West Ham during the first four Premier League games of the season, with three goals and one assist to his name so far (Transfermarkt).

With Rice having left to join Arsenal, the 26-year-old is now our talisman, and Hammers boss David Moyes will be hoping for a really big goal and assist return from his this season.

The former Hull City ace was nowhere near his best last season, and talkSPORT pundit Tony Cascarino recently highlighted just how much we missed an in-form Bowen.

He only bagged six goals and six assists in 38 Premier League games last season (Transfermarkt) – he should be looking for around twice as much as that in my opinion.

And this season, he might just manage it…

Stat proves West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen has made an effort to change one thing

The 26-year-old joined the Hammers from Hull City in January 2020 for around £18 million (The Daily Mail).

Bowen has been a great player for us over the past three-and-a-half years, but he now looks like a completely different animal.

The left-footed right winger has been making so many more runs in behind this season, rather than just sticking to the right touchline.

And one stat in particular proves this.

Prem Stat shared the information that Bowen has been caught offside more than any other player in the Premier League so far this season:

He really is playing right on the edge and I for one absolutely love to see it.

Bowen has certainly got his just rewards this season, and he’ll hopefully continue to score and make assists on a consistent basis for the remainder of the campaign.

He’s more than capable of racking up 10 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League this season, if he remains fit of course.

West Ham star Jarrod Bowen seems determined to make more of an impact inside the final third this term. And if he does exactly that, it’s hard to envisage a scenario whereby he’s not picked for the England squad next month.
