‘Sorry’: Craig Dawson’s hilarious response when asked what’s been his proudest moment playing for West Ham

Craig Dawson took over West Ham United’s official Twitter account for a Q&A session with the fans yesterday afternoon.

The 32-year-old joined the Hammers from Watford for just £2 million (The Evening Standard) back in the summer of 2021 having spent a successful loan spell at the London Stadium in the 2020/21 season.

Dawson has been sensational for West Ham since moving to the London Stadium and it could be argued that he has been one of our best value for money signings over the past couple of decades.

The tough-tackling, old fashioned centre-back has now firmly established himself as a cult hero amongst the Hammers fans.

Dawson’s die-hard, no-nonsense approach to the game is what every West Ham fan wants to see and we have always appreciated players who give their all for the shirt.

He’s not just a passionate, tough-tackling neanderthal though! Dawson proved last season that he has a lot more to his game and improved his range of passing massively.

And the Hammers faithful may now love him even more…

Craig Dawson conducts West Ham Q&A

The 32-year-old defender sat down with the Hammers’ official Twitter account yesterday and partook in a Q&A session with the fans.

The ex-Watford man responded when asked what has been his proudest moment in a West Ham shirt thus far in hilarious fashion:

Big Daws made his debut for West Ham away at Southampton back in December 2020.

It was a fairly unmemorable game that ended up 0-0.

The Hammers fans will always remember one instant in particular, however.

Just 15 minutes into Dawson’s debut, the big centre-back attempted to kick the ball but instead collided with Southampton striker Che Adams’ head.

In all fairness to Adams, he got back up and carried on playing.

One thing’s for sure though, he will never forget West Ham defender Craig Dawson! And nor will we.
