A new report claims Karren Brady is set to leave West Ham for a return to Birmingham and could be unveiled this week.
It is fair to say the Baroness is not the most popular person among West Ham fans or indeed in an increasing number of opposition boardrooms based on her various columns over the years.
It would be remiss not to point out that West Ham haven’t done too badly over the last couple of years with Brady around. And at the weekend the Hammers were named as the 16th most valuable football club in Europe.

There is also no escaping the fact her regular column in The Sun has always attracted unnecessary ill will and plenty of egg on West Ham’s face to boot.
From referring to West Ham fans as customers and a section of them as keyboard warriors to blocking influential fan groups on social media and – unforgettably saying West Ham was a club with ‘no culture’ (talkSPORT).
That’s before you even take into consideration Brady proudly announcing West Ham’s move from Upton Park to the London Stadium was “the most successful stadium migration in history”.
It was July 25th 2016 when West Ham’s unpopular vice-chairman Brady uttered those now immortal words on the club’s official website – and they have haunted her ever since.
A large section of the fanbase wanted to see Brady leave the club – even ahead of divisive co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold.
Well now those West Ham fans may get their wish it seems.
Because a new report claims Brady looks set to leave West Ham for a return to former club Birmingham and could even be unveiled this week.
According to Sunday People journalist Neil Moxley – as also reported by West Ham Zone – Brady looks set to leave West Ham for a controversial return to her old club once the Laurence Bassini takeover is rubber-stamped.
Bassini is trying to complete a takeover at the Championship club and he took to talkSPORT on Wednesday (15 June) to confirm when his board of directors will be announced.
In the interview he confirmed West Ham co-owner Sullivan is fronting much of the money for his £35m Birmingham takeover.
And Bassini also seemed to make a clear suggestion in everything but name that Brady would be returning.
“There is going to be two chairmen that are senior football people, I’m not saying who I’m bringing in,” Bassini said on talkSPORT.
“I will name the board at a press conference and they will all be there. There is a woman that will be vice chairman that is a highly respected person. There will be a CEO with vast experience.”
Journalist Moxley then suggested that person is Brady when speaking on Twitter.
“Sounds very much like it, doesn’t it? Vastly-experienced female with connections to (David Sullivan)?
“Points in one direction, doesn’t it?”
