Nikola Vlasic thoughts on potential West Ham return outlined in new report

Nikola Vlasic has absolutely zero interest in returning to West Ham United when his loan spell with Torino ends.

That’s according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb who claim that the 25-year-old has established himself as an ‘immovable starter’ with the Turin club.

Now, Torino have an option to sign Vlasic at the end of the season for around €15 million (£13 million), but TuttoMercatoWeb claim that the Serie A side don’t want to pay that much due to financial constraints.

So that will of course leave the door open for a potential return to the London Stadium for Vlasic.

It was recently claimed that the 41-capped Croatia international would have left West Ham permanently in the summer, if it was solely up to him.

And it seems as though he definitely won’t be reuniting with David Moyes at any point in the future…

If Torino are unable to afford the £13 million agreement they have with the Hammers to sign Vlasic, a return to the London Stadium will simply not be an option for him.

That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb who claim that Torino will bargain with West Ham to get a discount on their £13 million option to buy him.

I have to say, I don’t blame Vlasic for not wanting to come back to West Ham.

One thing’s for sure, David Moyes never played him in his correct position – just in behind the striker in the number 10 role.

Instead, the Scot chose to deploy him out on the left wing mostly – a position that renders him totally ineffective due to his lack of pace.

Nikola Vlasic is proving with Torino that he is an exceptionally talented attacking player, and he clearly has a lot to offer at the very highest level.

He has bagged three goals and two assists in 13 outings for his club so far (Transfermarkt).

It seems as though there will be no West Ham return for Nikola Vlasic in the summer of 2023. And that will still be the case even if Torino struggle to meet his £13 million asking price.
