Nikola Vlasic spoke to reporters this afternoon and named the West Ham player who’s impressed him most since he moved to the London Stadium.
The Croatia international joined the Hammers from CSKA Moscow on transfer deadline day in the summer for around £31 million. He was handed a five-year £70k-a-week contract (ExWHUemployee).
The 24-year-old has made a slow start to life with the Hammers but in truth he hasn’t had too many chances to impress.
Vlasic needs to be given time to settle in and he will undoubtedly improve as time goes on.
There are so many top, top players at West Ham who Vlasic can learn from.
And the Croatia international singled out one who has really made an impression on him.
Nikola Vlasic names West Ham player who’s impressed him most
The 24-year-old absolutely raved about Declan Rice.
Vlasic told WHUFC.com:
“Probably Declan Rice. When I talked with my friends I knew he was a good player, but he’s so fast. He’s so quick. With the ball, even last season, this season he’s better and improving our attacks. He’s unbelievable – he’s impressed me the most.”
Vlasic ain’t wrong there!
Rice is a truly incredible talent and at just 22 he is already one of the best players in the Premier League…if not the world.
The sky’s the limit for Dec.
He can achieve anything he wants in the game.
And hopefully some of the 22-year-old’s qualities will rub off on Vlasic over the next few months.
