The Hammers star was magnificent once again against Liverpool at the London Stadium yesterday.

Rice has been incredibly consistent for West Ham over the past couple of years.

He has far and away been our best player since Premier League football resumed after the first lockdown in June 2020.

Keeping hold of Dec will be imperative for West Ham, if we are to make genuine progress over the course of the next few years.

And the way things are going, there is no reason why we can’t do just that.

Jack Wilshere shares what he told Jamie Redknapp about Declan Rice

Wilshere spent two years playing and training alongside Rice at the London Stadium.

David Moyes made the decision to move Jack on last year.

But Wilshere still has fond memories of training alongside Rice.

He told Sky Sports (Sunday November 7th, 4:15pm):

“He has everything. He’s first at everything, what he does off the ball and physically the numbers he can reach. A big part of his game that he has improved is the technical side. He picks the ball up and drives through midfield and he’s a real character, he’s a leader. I was saying to Jamie before, when I was there and training with him, my only surprise about him was that he doesn’t score enough goals. He can finish with his left and right foot, he’s the best finisher in the club for me.”

That really is quite the claim…the best finisher at the club? Wow.

Rice is already world-class in my opinion. The scary thing is that he will just keep getting better and better as well!

What a player we have on our hands. We are very lucky to have Rice at the London Stadium.
