The Hammers have actually made a really strong start to the season, and David Moyes will be delighted with that after some really impressive summer business.

One specific player who has been a huge hit already is James Ward-Prowse. The 28-year-old has been exceptional so far, with two goals and three assists to his name in just four games so far.
And Areola has lavished praise upon the English midfielder…
Alphonse Areola blown away by one West Ham summer signing in particular
The Frenchman spoke to reporters after our 3-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.
And he absolutely raved about Ward-Prowse, as quoted by the Mirror (print edition September 18th, page 13):

“You just have to look at his games, his stats. He’s helping us a lot, offensively, defensively, set-pieces. He’s just incredible for us so we have to keep that positivity and go again.”
I think we’re a far stronger team now that Ward-Prowse is amongst our ranks.
The 28-year-old has proven a lot of the Hammers fans wrong already with his brilliant performances.
He’s so much more than a set-piece merchant as well. What a player, and £30 million now looks like an absolute bargain doesn’t it.
Alphonse Areola is clearly a big fan of his West Ham teammate, and it’s little wonder as to why.
