Tomas Soucek took to Twitter after West Ham conceded a late equaliser against Brighton at the London Stadium last night.

The Hammers’ winless run against Brighton now stands at nine games!
Some people are allegoric to nuts…West Ham are allergic to Brighton.
The Hammers were nowhere near good enough last night and a draw was probably a fair result.

Conceding a late equaliser is just so hard to swallow.
After Soucek put us ahead inside the first five minutes last night, most people would have backed us to go on and win the match comfortably.
Brighton are a very good football side though and it’s extremely hard to get the ball off them.
Added to that, VAR took three minutes to rule out a goal that really should have stood.

If it takes that long to chalk off a goal, then it’s not a clear and obvious error is it?

The 26-year-old scored for the first time since the opening day of the season last night.
That will be a huge boost for Soucek. But he suggested that he would take it all back in exchange for a victory:
That’s exactly the kind of mentality that we want to see. David Moyes will love that as well.
West Ham’s recent success has been based on a certain kind of team unity that is not often seen at elite level football.
Soucek hasn’t been at his best this season, far from it. He always gives 100% for the Hammers though.

He proved last night just how important he is for us on the pitch, and how humble he is off of it.
