'He could at least pretend': Some West Ham fans react as Mipo joins Doncaster on loan

Mipo Odubeko has left West Ham to join Doncaster Rovers on loan until he end of the season.

And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the news.

West Ham brought the 19-year-old to the London Stadium from Manchester United in October 2019.

Mipo arrived in East London with a big reputation of scoring goals at youth level but he really hasn’t established himself with West Ham whatsoever.

The young striker struggled during a loan spell with Huddersfield Town during the first half of the season and returned to the Hammers earlier this month.

The teenager is hardly popular with the West Ham faithful.

He risked the wrath of the Hammers fans on Saturday night when he took to Instagram and liked a celebration message posted by Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford after the 24-year-old won the game with a last minute winner at Old Trafford.

Mipo has previous with doing this kind of thing as well.

Back in September, after Jesse Lingard scored the winner for Manchester United at the London Stadium, the ill-advised 19-year-old responded to the 29-year-old’s Instagram story, calling the former West Ham loanee the ‘goat’ just after he’d scored against the club that pays his wages!

Despite all of his indiscretions online, what is certain is that the 19-year-old needs to be playing regular football against real men at this stage of his career.

Mipo certainly has the talent. West Ham would not have brought him to the club from Manchester United if he didn’t have something about him.

We certainly wish him all the best and perhaps he will prove people wrong during his loan spell with Donny.
