West Ham are allegedly still interested in signing Liverpool defender Nat Phillips and he has expressed his desire to leave Anfield.
That’s according to a report from The Evening Standard who claim that David Moyes is determined to bolster his ranks at the London Stadium before the January transfer window slams shut.
West Ham are flying high in fifth spot in the Premier League table at the moment. The teams in and around the Hammers have games in hand over us but we still have an outside chance of finishing inside the top four.

The top six might be a more realistic target for the East London outfit.
LEAVE RASHFORD ALONE.
In order to finish anywhere near the European spots, however, Moyes must strengthen his options over the next week.
The additions of a proven goalscorer and a top-class centre-back will be a necessity for the Hammers. And it seems as though Moyes has his heart set on doing just that.
West Ham still chasing Liverpool ace Nat Phillips
The Evening Standard claims that the Hammers boss is working around the clock to get in two new signings before the January transfer window slams shut.
Moyes wants a striker and a defender with Liverpool ace Nat Phillips cropping up again.
It is claimed that the 24-year-old Reds centre-back has made is clear to Jurgen Klopp that he is ready to leave Anfield in order to obtain more regular Premier League football.
If this is the case then what on earth are we waiting for. We need to get this one wrapped up asap.
Phillips could be available for around £12 million according to The Mirror.
That seems like outstanding value to us for someone with Phillips’ quality.
He has absolutely everything that West Ham are looking for, apart from the fact that he’s not left footed.
The 24-year-old is incredibly strong in the air – he proved that last season during both games against us. He’s tenacious in the tackle, a great reader of the game and plays with commitment, passion and desire.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp recently described Phillips as ‘unbelievable’ (Liverpool Echo). Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand raved about his display for the Reds at the San Siro last week, labelling Phillips as ‘beautiful’ and ‘Baresi like’ (Daily Mail).
So he clearly has something special about him. Let’s just hope that West Ham bring Phillips to the London Stadium before the window closes. There really is no excuse not to get this one done by all accounts.
