Declan Rice took to Twitter to praise one West Ham player after last night’s Carabao Cup win over Manchester City.

The London Stadium was absolutely bouncing after we knocked the defending champions out on penalties.
Manchester City have won the Carabao Cup for the last four years. They hadn’t been knocked out of the competition since 2016…before last night of course.
West Ham were absolutely brilliant.
David Moyes outfoxed the master tactician Pep Guardiola and the Hammers are now in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
There were plenty of superb displays from the West Ham team. In fact, not one player let us down.

The 22-year-old Hammers star was given a much-needed rest by David Moyes.
Amazingly, we coped without him and managed to topple Man City.
Rice took to Twitter after the game to praise one West Ham player in particular:

The 21-year-old really is a quite unbelievable talent.
He has gone from strength to strength since filling in for Vladimir Coufal.
The young defender is cool and composed in possession and with his pace, he is incredibly hard to dribble past.
Sure, his final delivery needs some working on but that will come with practice and experience.

What a great time this is to be a West Ham fan.
And having a young player like Johnson coming through our academy and proving himself with the senior team really is the icing on the cake.
