West Ham boss David Moyes has seemingly hinted that Gianluca Scamacca may not start against Aston Villa tomorrow.
The 23-year-old striker joined the Hammers from Sassuolo last month in a £30 million deal, plus add-ons (BBC Sport).

Moyes has eased the Italy international in to action, bringing him off the bench in West Ham’s first three Premier League games of the season.
Scamacca has started both of the Hammers UEFA Europa Conference League games agains Viborg, however, scoring two goals in the process.

The Italian looks like the real deal and it’s obvious to see that he is a far more polished centre-forward than Michail Antonio is.
Will the 23-year-old be made to wait for his first Premier League start again tomorrow though?
David Moyes drops Gianluca Scamacca hint ahead of Aston Villa vs West Ham
The Scot is well-renowned for easing his new signings into action slowly.
It’s been no different with Scamacca so far.
And Moyes seemed to suggest that the Italian might be on the bench once again tomorrow against Aston Villa, as quoted by Football.London:

“He’s been knocking on the door for a while. We have to try and look at him and see the right games for him. We don’t need to rush him but he’s getting ready.”
Who knows? Perhaps Moyes was just keeping his cards close to his chest.
Reading between the lines though, we believe that Scamacca may well be left on the bench for tomorrow’s clash with Villa, after hearing Moyes’s comments on the Italian.
We think that would be a big mistake. Scamacca is far more of a threat than Antonio. And the 32-year-old could come on after 70 minutes or something and give the Villa defenders all sorts of problems.
West Ham desperately need a win against Aston Villa tomorrow.
And we believe that starting Scamacca will give us the best chance of doing that.
