Hammers boss David Moyes has hailed the signing of Gianluca Scamacca and is backing the Italy striker to be a big hit at West Ham.
West Ham have been linked with the former Sassuolo striker all summer and Hammers fans can finally celebrate the arrival of the 6ft 5in 23-year-old Italian.
Yesterday Italian transfer ITK reporter Fabrizio Romano gave the ‘here we go’ on the blockbuster West Ham move for Scamacca.

That all but confirmed Moyes’ 18-month search for striker number 50 of the David Sullivan and David Gold era was at an end.
Now the Italian’s arrival has been officially confirmed on the club’s official website.

And his new boss at the London Stadium is a happy man.
Moyes has hailed the Scamacca signing and backs the Italy striker to be a big hit at West Ham.
“We’ve been looking to add more strength to our attacking options for a while, so we’re delighted to have got Gianluca in,” Moyes told whufc.com.
“He comes really well recommended – and we’re looking forward to working with him. He’s a young centre-forward with a really bright future ahead of him.”

West Ham appear to have beaten the likes of PSG, Juventus and Inter Milan to Scamacca’s signature.
Make no mistake this is a major coup for the Hammers.
To sign an international class striker at just 23 years of age with the world at his feet is testament to Moyes’ patience and the new recruitment philosophy and strategy at West Ham under the Scot and Rob Newman.

Scamacca is behind in his pre-season preparations having been withheld from Sassuolo’s matches as a result of interest from West Ham.
But he looks lean and fit so expect him to be brought up to speed quickly at Rush Green and be integrated into the squad as soon as possible.
We had forgotten the excitement signing a top striker brings.
And what a capture this could turn out to be. Exciting times to be a Hammer.
