Italian transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano has given the famous ‘here we go’ on a blockbuster West Ham move for Gianluca Scamacca.
ITK reporter Romano has – along with his fellow Italians Gianluca Di Marzio and Alfredo Pedulla – been right across West Ham’s move for Scamacca.
Reports intensified over the weekend that West Ham were set to seal a deal to sign Scamacca from Sassuolo.

After a torrid week on and off the pitch for David Moyes, the Scamacca news came as a welcome boost.
But West Ham fans are too long in the tooth to take for granted that a player will sign for them.
Especially after BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone warned Hammers fans that personal terms were yet to be agreed over the weekend.

Given West Ham’s history of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory when it comes to transfers – coupled with several false dawns during the long wait for a new striker – nobody was counting their chickens before they had hatched.
But now it seems Hammers fans can finally celebrate the imminent arrival of the 6ft 5in 23-year-old Italian.
That’s after Romano gave the ‘here we go’ on a blockbuster West Ham move for Scamacca.

Taking to Twitter on Monday afternoon Romano uttered his famous catchphrase, which he only issues once a deal is signed, sealed and delivered.
Romano stakes his entire reputation on those three words, so he does not say them lightly.
“Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham, here we go!” Romano said on Twitter.
“Full agreement finally signed between clubs and also on player side, Italian striker will be in London today.

“Medical scheduled on Tuesday. €36m (£30.5m) fixed fee plus €6m (£5m) add-ons and 10% sell-on clause to Sassuolo.
“Completed.”
There is of course the medical to conclude now.
So that will be the last hurdle for West Ham to overcome before Moyes can get his hands on his new striker ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.
Exciting times. What a signing. Fingers and Hammers crossed for a smooth medical.
