A concerning and insulting report has emerged from Italy about Nayef Aguerd, just 5 months into his West Ham United career.

The centre-back has been superb for Morocco out in Qatar but his World Cup may well be over after he suffered an injury during his country’s last-16 clash with Spain.

In spite of the fact that he may not play again out in Qatar, Aguerd is allegedly already attracting attention from outside of West Ham.

Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition December 8th, page 22) claim that the 26-year-old’s performances for Morocco at the World Cup out in Qatar have proven that he is ‘destined for a move to a big club’.

It is suggested that Aguerd’s quality is now ‘clearly visible’ and that he has really impressed from a technical perspective.

Gazzetta dello Sport do make it clear that it will be very hard for any potential suitors to prise him away from the London Stadium, just five months into his Hammers career.

Concerning and insulting report emerges about Nayef Aguerd

Gazzetta dello Sport reckon that Aguerd’s performances for Morocco at the World Cup out in Qatar prove that he is ready to make the ‘leap up to a big club’.

Come on now he’s only been at the London Stadium or five months! And there is simply no way that David Moyes would entertain any offers for him this soon into his Hammers career.

The Moroccan defender joined the Hammers from Ligue 1 outfit Rennes in the summer transfer window for around £30 million (Sky Sports).

Unfortunately for him, his West Ham career is still yet to take off, having suffered a nasty ankle injury during a pre-season clash with Rangers in July.

He made his comeback just before the break for the World Cup and looked like he would be a fantastic player for us. His performances for Morocco at the World Cup out in Qatar have been exceptional as well.

The injury that he sustained at the World Cup out in Qatar was a bitter blow for him and West Ham. It has been claimed the the injury wasn’t as bad as first feared.

All we can do is hope that Aguerd returns to action sooner rather than later.

However, the concerning and insulting Nayef Aguerd report from Gazzetta dello Sport has undoubtedly thrown the cat amongst the pigeons ahead of the January transfer window.
