A brilliant Craig Dawson and Erling Haaland photo edit will have West Ham and Man City fans in stitches this evening.
West Ham were given an unenviable start to the new season when it was announced they will play champions Manchester City in the first game of the new 2022-23 season on Thursday.
The game at the London Stadium mirrors the last home game of last season which saw Man City visit West Ham with the title to play for.

The Hammers took a 2-0 lead that day but were pegged back to 2-2 in an entertaining clash.
That game marked a fitting farewell for long serving West Ham captain Mark Noble in his last ever Hammers home game.
He was embraced on the pitch by Pep Guardiola after the final whistle as the Spaniard hailed the departing West Ham skipper and delivered a lengthy message in his ear.

Now West Ham and Man City will meet again, this time on the opening weekend as Man City defend their title.
As if City could not get much better – and West Ham’s task any more difficult – they will have new world class striker Erling Haaland up front.
The pairing of Man City and West Ham evoked memories of a funny line Noble came out with when asked if he might consider playing on for one more season.

“I’ll be laying on a beach somewhere next year while Craig Dawson is marking Erling Haaland!” Noble quipped.
Little did he or we know that prediction might come true sooner than we’d imagined.
After the fixture list announcement on Thursday there was plenty of good-hearted banter between West Ham and Man City fans on social media.
But one fan in particular showcased the famous wit of Hammers supporters.

And the brilliant Dawson and Haaland photo edit will have West Ham and Man City fans in stitches.
The fan has photoshopped in a picture of Craig Dawson peering out from behind Haaland’s announcement picture where he is sat on a throne draped in a Man City flag.
Take a bow, fantastic stuff.
Let’s just hope big Daws adds Haaland to the long list of quality strikers he has pocketed in a West Ham shirt.
You can be sure this picture will be revived if he does.
