Blessing in disguise for David Moyes as World Cup striker allegedly doesn’t want to join West Ham United in January.
Hammers boss Moyes desperately needs to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium in the January transfer window.
One centre-forward in particular who the Scot has been linked with is Senegalese hitman Boulaye Dia.
Moyes ended his long search for a striker by signing Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo in the summer transfer window.

With Michail Antonio set to turn 33 in March though, the addition of another centre-forward is undoubtedly needed at the London Stadium.
It seems as though one of Moyes’s alleged targets won’t be moving to the East End though…
West Ham to miss out on World Cup striker
The Senegal international is currently on loan with Italian side Salernitana.
And Salernitana chef Francesco Fimmano has insisted that Boulaye Dia wants to remain in Italy, when speaking to Radio Punto Nuovo:
I certainly think there is the will to continue together. Dia is a champion, who we have seen very little of yet. (Dia produced an) excellent performance in Qatar, which confirms his talents are of the highest level. And Salernitana keeps the players of the highest level.
The 19-capped Senegal striker bagged just seven goals and five assists in 35 games for the Spanish side last term though (Transfermarkt).
He left Villarreal to join Italian side Salernitana on a season-long loan in the summer, and has since racked up six goals and two assists in 14 Serie A games (Transfermarkt).

Dia is powerful, has explosive pace and is a real menace for opposing defenders.
The Senegalese forward has been far from prolific recently, and he definitely didn’t set the World Cup alight out in Qatar, despite scoring a goal for his country.
In all honesty, I haven’t been overly impressed any time that I have seen Dia play. It could be argued that he is actually nowhere near the levels required to be playing Premier League football.
And if West Ham miss out on the World Cup striker in January, I think it would be a blessing in disguise for David Moyes.
