Big Jesse Lingard to West Ham twist after contradictory claim by the Daily Mail
According to the Daily Mail, the 30-year-old attacking midfielder has in fact been impressing the manager and staff at Rush Green – the complete opposite of what is being claimed by club insiders.
So it will be interesting to see what happens during the international break.

If Jesse Lingard is to be offered a new deal by West Ham, the next 10 days or so will be the perfect time for that to happen for obvious reasons.
Hammers boss David Moyes failed to bring a forward to the London Stadium in the summer, although Mohammed Kudus can play there at a push.
So signing Lingard – someone who can operate as a false nine or on either wing – would certainly make sense.
Whether he is fit enough, and has the hunger needed to accept a heavily incentivised deal remains to be seen though.
