Anton Ferdinand has suggested that he would love to see Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford at West Ham United.

The Hammers have actually been linked with a move to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford in the summer transfer window (90 Min).

And it was recently claimed that Jesse Lingard has advised the 24-year-old attacker to join West Ham in the summer.

Hammers manager David Moyes desperately needs to bring a top-class forward to the London Stadium before the start of the 2022/23 season.

Michail Antonio absolutely cannot do everything on his own once again next term. The addition of someone like Marcus Rashford would be a huge statement of intent from the East London outfit.

And one former Hammer wants to see the Man United ace at the London Stadium next season…

Anton Ferdinand would love Marcus Rashford at West Ham

The England international forward has really gone off the boil over the past year or so.

He is still and outstanding talent though and has so much to offer at the very highest level.

Ferdinand discussed the 24-year-old’s future at Old Trafford when speaking to talkSPORT (3:50pm, July 2, 2022):

“I think he needs a new challenge.”

And then, when asked if he would take Rashford to play as a central striker for West Ham, Ferdinand said:

“100%. All day long. Rashford, all day long.”

We would love the 24-year-old at West Ham as well. We just can’t see this one happening though.

As much as West Ham are a club on the rise, we’re still not at the levels to be attracting players like Rashford yet, in my opinion.

Who knows though? If Manchester United sign a big-name forward and Rashford isn’t guaranteed regular game-time, perhaps a loan move to the London Stadium will appeal to him.

And if West Ham do manage to somehow sign Marcus Rashford this summer, we will be in great shape ahead of the 2022/23 season.
